Marx’s wealth of experience working across regions including Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and North America equips him to serve global customers across industries. Marx’s expertise spans a range of technologies including identity and trusted service management, identification and smart cards, secure mobile transactions, mergers and acquisitions and more. Before building Trūata, Marx served as Executive Vice President, Services, for Mastercard in Asia Pacific. In that role, Marx was responsible for a holistic go-to-market strategy and driving growth in the region for all service products of Mastercard.


Prior to that, Marx was CEO of Pinpoint, which was acquired by Mastercard in 2014. Other past roles include CEO and President of C-Sam, Inc. and CEO of Identive Group, which he initially joined as CEO of SCM Microsystems. In addition, Marx held the position of Executive Director of the Identive Group board, as well sitting on the Board of Directors for several of Identive Group’s portfolio companies. Marx has also held a variety of general management positions with companies including NXP Semiconductors, Philips Semiconductors, Global One Telecommunications and Ericsson Telecommunications. He was instrumental in founding the NFC Forum and also served on it as Director of the Board on behalf of Philips Semiconductors and NXP Semiconductors.
Marx holds a degree in electrical engineering from the Technical Academy in Vienna (HTBLVA Wien), a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Commerce in Vienna and a Master of Advanced Studies in Knowledge Management from Danube University in Austria.
